We already gave you a first look at Taylor Swift's InStyle cover, now here's a sneak peek at the mega star's fashion spread from the December issue, which hits newsstands Friday.
After sweeping the CMA Awards and appearing on the red carpet in a gleaming Reem Acra gown, it seems that the 19-year-old singer (who, by the way, will no longer be a "teenager" as of December 13) is in a decidedly golden mood, donning sparkly gold sequin, lace and lame gowns for the magazine's photo shoot.
"My personal style is girly," says Swift in a behind-the-scenes video on InStyle.com, which coincidentally shows her striking a pose in the same gold Oscar de la Renta gown Cate Blanchett wears in Vogue.
"I love dresses, I love skirts and headbands and old antique necklaces," she says. "I'm really fascinated by retro fashion and things that can be beautiful then and are still beautiful now in a more modernized way."
It seems keeping her style intact is one of the ways that Swift remains a supremely grounded individual.
"I don't ever feel misunderstood," she tells the magazine. "And I don't feel as if I need to make some giant statement and start wearing a completely different new wardrobe for the next project or start speaking in a different way or writing songs in a different way."
(Ahem, Rihanna, Madonna, etc.)
"When you start overthinking that stuff with your career, you stop being who you are and start being who you think you should be," she says. "And when you get into that space, that's very dangerous territory. So I'm just going to continue to be who I am."
And that's clearly who we all want her to be.
