Having recently moved to New York City from Seattle, where plaid isn't a trend, it just is; I felt a little hometown comfort when I opened the package for challenge number four. Behold the red English plaid "The Delia" top by Priorities. I instantly fell in love with the details from the feminine ruffles to the steam punk type buttons.

Like every challenge so far, I put together at least a half a dozen outfits styling the top in a different way – upside down, tied at the waist, buttoned up, belted, etc. In the end, I decided to channel my Seattle roots and wear it simply unbuttoned over a charcoal mini dress and black leggings. However, to blend my style with a little New York City edge, I paired it with thigh high platform boots (one of my fall obsessions).

Through this challenge, I've learned that beauty can be your most important accessory, and even though I'm more of a chipped nails type of girl, I've enjoyed experimenting with synergies in my wardrobe and beauty choices. To complete my look for this challenge, I tried a new hair style that involved rolling the sides pack into a low, messy bun and my favorite hot coral lipstick.

How would you style it? Check out my blog post on this challenge to see additional photos and a tutorial about my hair and make-up. Also, don't forget to make your daily vote on StyleList, Bluefly or the America's Most Stylish Blogger Facebook fan page.
