Ashlee Simpson-Wentz recently toned down her fiery red strands reportedly in preparation for her new role as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical production of Chicago. While the rocker mommy is no stranger to the dark hue, we are a bit torn on Ashlee's hair transformation.

Actress Robin Wright nearly sent us into a beauty spiral when she debuted this deep shade at the New York City screening of The Private Lives of Pippa. But Wright's drastic shift from blonde to black brings out her cool, blue eyes and adds warmth to her pale skin.
