Barbara Walters has picked the ten most fascinating people of 2009, but she's not telling.

Not until the ABC News special airs at 10pm on December 9th, that is.

In the mean time, a few nominees have strategically leaked out, including Lady Gaga, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, and Sarah Palin.

What a motley crew!

We just hope these three had the occasion to share a green room together at some point during the process. We're sure Gaga and Adam could find plenty of things in common, but would Palin approve of their gender-bending, boundary-pushing, pants-hating antics?

And how strange is the site of 23-year-old Lady Gaga next to 70-year-old Barbara Walters? Gaga's stiff white 'do and Liza Minelli-like outfit make her look less like a young pop star and more like a member of Barbara's book club.

Same here. I'll watch the program is because Adam Lambert. Love him, love his singing, love his personality. Come on, people make mistake and is not like he did something that is so horrible and is unforgivable. LOVE ADAM!

If would have to chose only one, it will be Adam Lambert by far. The others…..are really insignificant for me.

We know he had a bad AMA day but we have to look at the rest. He was always an IMPECABLE only 27 years old man: a positive force, articulate, kind, sweet, honest, smart, talented, absolutely gorgeous, sensual, charismatic, generous, witty, hard worker and devoted to his career.

It seems everyone else has an agenda concerning him: he is too gay, not gay enough, too much pop, not enough rock n’ roll, masculine or feminine, sexual or asexual. That makes me believe that in fact they all FASCINATED BY ADAM AND THEY DON’T KNOW how to handle this.

People who have met him say that he makes you feel like you are the only person in the room when he talks to you, and that he definitely has the “it” factor.

Adam is an absolutely fascinating and sensational phenomenon. He had gone from nobody to “world sensation” within a year!

I really hope Barbara will give him a hand to put him back on the right track.
