Although Olivia Wilde is best known for disrobing for men's magazines like GQ and Maxim, the sexy starlet covers up in designer duds (including an uber-feminine Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti dress and a D&G bouclé jacket) on the cover of Lucky's January issue.

Typical for the shopping bible, the topic of discussion with the 25-year-old "House" star was, surprise, fashion, where the actress confides that she's prone to mix cheaper items with her roster of favorite high-end designers like Jimmy Choo, Helmut Lang and Rick Owens.

"Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on -- so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting," she tells the magazine, before revealing a surprising fashion icon.

"When I'm getting dressed, I often stop and think, 'What would Julie Christie wear?'" says Wilde. "Her style is fun and unpredictable."

Aside from her love for the British actress, Wilde says French style is also a point of inspiration.

"I find myself constantly pretending I'm a chic Parisian. I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders," she says. "If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest."

And while Wilde might seem like the picture of perfection -- she does, after all, hold the #1 spot on Maxim's "Hot 100" list -- we learn in Lucky's story that she has the same hang-ups as the rest of us.

"I have short legs, which makes it hard to find high boots that stop at a flattering spot," she says, adding that a pair from Rag & Bone does the trick.

Plus, she says, "I'm maniacal about my eyebrows. I've been trying to grow them in, so I have my brush with me and break it out right before I go anywhere."

We'd love to see a paparazzi shot of that.

To get more of Wilde's must-haves and beauty tips, pick up the January issue of Lucky, on newsstands December 8.
