Jessica Simpson may be fodder for many a gossip rag -- currently for her rumored ties to Tiger Woods -- but sensational headlines aside, this blonde bombshell has proven that she's quite the savvy businesswoman.

The singer/actress/designer has already launched successful shoe, accessories, outerwear, handbag and swimwear lines under the Jessica Simpson Collection lifestyle brand.

Oh, and if you're traveling for the holidays, check out one of her latest additions: getaway-worthy luggage, including a collection aptly named "Southern Belle."

Clearly, all of this wasn't enough for Simpson. So, in addition to expanding her namesake brand, she's also launching a swimwear line -- which we previewed earlier this year -- in collaboration with upscale designer Red Carter.

StyleList caught up with the Texas beauty to chat about her new collection, winter must-haves and self-confidence.

StyleList:
What inspired your new swimwear line?
Jessica Simpson: My spring collection was inspired by my favorite vacations and the jet-setting getaways I dream about. From the nautical seashores here at home, to hot Havana nights or the bold colors you'd think of in an exotic foreign land, the line is fun and flirty, but still so classic. I'm always inspired by my fans and I want my clothes to be pieces that women feel confident wearing anywhere.

SL:
What was the design process like?
JS: It has been so much fun. I worked with my great team and Red Carter -- they really know swimwear. The product looks great and fits so well, which is really important in a swimsuit. My mom is also a huge part of the line. We love working together from inspiration to final product -- we touch each and every item.

SL: The weather isn't getting any warmer. Will the swimwear line inspire you take a winter vacation?
JS: I am lucky enough to be able to get away with my family this time every year. Of course, I will be to spending some time on the beach!

SL: What advice do you have for women about feeling confident in swimwear?
JS: You have to be comfortable in your own skin because when you feel good about yourself, you are going to look great no matter what you're wearing.

SL: So, you've already successfully tackled shoes, clothing, accessories, a swimwear line, plus newly added lingerie and luggage collections. What's next?
JS: I recently literally traveled the world for a show called "The Price of Beauty" for VH1. I met with all kinds of women from 8 different countries. They taught me so much about beauty and their customs. There are some pretty hilarious moments. The show is coming out in March.

SL: We can't wait to check it out. For now, though, what's your winter must-have? More than a bikini, we're thinking.
JS: Winter, spring, summer and fall -- I love a great pair of heels. And I love boots. And I always have to have a great bag... no way to choose just one!

SL: What are your beauty secrets?
JS: I really think the secret to beauty is confidence. If you are happy and find beauty on the inside, it will surely translate to the outside. And smile!

Her capsule collection with Red Carter will launch exclusively at Macy's Herald Square in NYC this Sunday (Dec. 20).

The line will roll out in its entirety Dec. 30 at select Macy's stores nationwide and on the Jessica Simpson Collection Web site.

With separates going for $40-$50 per piece and suits retailing for $80-$100, expect some last-minute gift additions.
