Canadian designer Mark Fast -- you know, the one who caused a brouhaha over using (gasp!) normal-sized models in his Spring/Summer 2010 show? -- is showing no signs of slowing down.

First, we reported that Fast landed a collaboration with Topshop, and now the knitwear genius just announced a lower-priced diffusion line called (of course) "Faster," WWD reports.

The Central Saint Martins grad, known for his body-conscious cobwebby knit frocks, will debut the Faster line of nylon and elastane knits for spring, according to the paper.

And while the prices may be cheaper -- reportedly $25 to $400 wholesale compared to the main collection which climbs up to $2,400 -- the pieces will be just as sexy, with tights, leggings, a top, slips and Mark Fast "classic" dress on the agenda, his PR team tells StyleList.

"The Faster range is Mark's work interpreted through state-of-the-art knitwear production."

"Whereas the Mark Fast collection is handcrafted and takes several months to develop and create, the new collection is simply FASTER. Early deliveries and an accessible price point mean Mark can continue to communicate his vision of knitwear to his audience at an increased rate."

Fast, who reportedly credits high demand for a pair of tights he created for September's goodie bags as his cheap-chic inspiration, will keep prices low for Faster by using a factory in Italy, as opposed to the domestic machines and one-on-one attention his main line receives, he tells WWD.

The line will reportedly be carried by Curve and Seven New York, but we think we can name one person who won't be getting on the Fast track: Lady Gaga.

In an interview with Canada's Metro, Fast confessed to declining when Gaga's stylist asked to borrow some clothes for the singer.

"I love her music and that 'Bad Romance' song is stuck in my head all the time, but we don't necessarily have to accept everyone just because they are famous," he told the paper.

"My work is about a lifestyle. It's not fast-food fashion. It's not about trends, it's about classic, it's about the body, it's about beauty. Maybe that gets lost in the picture with certain celebrities."

Better luck next time, Gaga. Guess you'll just have to wait in line like the rest of us!
