Apparently white is the new black...at least for blazers that is. Lately the sporty jacket has been turning up on the holiest members of the fashion brigade including Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Just days ago, Moss was seen wearing her white blazer while out to dinner in London to celebrate her 36th birthday. Ever the rock n' roller, the model paired the trendy topper with a black T-shirt, cropped leather mini-shorts, black hosiery and sky high pumps.

Kidman stayed true to her ladylike tendencies by wearing a cropped, fitted version over her cream colored dress at the world premiere of Nine in London, England.

Meanwhile Paltrow sparked the trend back in October when she sported a boxier number with bold shoulders at her friend Stella McCartney's Spring 2010 runway show in Paris.

In this age of weary spending, it's great to come across a fashion trend that has some versatility.

Inspired by the looks above, we spent a little time perusing the web for a white blazer that we could call our own (sorry boss!) and found great looking options at Victoria's Secret and Eryn Brinie for roughly $100. Consider that you could wear a this piece the whole year through (note: summer months not excluded!) and that's one heck of a deal.

What do you think? Could you get into wearing a white blazer? Let us know and then see if you're bold enough to also incorporate sequin into your ensembles.
