Sarah Jessica Parker Wears a Victoria Beckham Dress to the White House

While Michelle Obama opted for a bright violet sleeveless shift covered in black polka dots, actress Sarah Jessica Parker was clad in a coral-hued dress by Victoria Beckham to celebrate award winners Bob Dylan, Clint Eastwood, painter Frank Stella and author Elie Wiesel, among others.
Perhaps the double crepe slightly flared frock with molded shoulders, from Beckham's Spring/Summer 2010 dress collection, was chosen after the two famous mothers bonded on the set of "Sex and the City 2," in which Beckham is rumored to cameo after not being able to make an appearance in the first film, due to Spice Girl scheduling conflicts.
Whatever her reasoning, we think Parker looks classy and White House-appropriate. But what do you think? Let us know in a comment.

I am so happy that Victoria is enjoying great success with her high end clothing line. The dresses are gorgeous and incredibly chic. I hope she does a lower priced line in the near future. I would buy every piece!
Her Rock and Republic Jeans have the kind of fit most women dream of finding but rarely do . I sold my pair on e bay and regret it to this day.
I simply love her style. The clothes she had chosen to put her name on, are of exceptional quality and impeccable style ,which is not something one can honestly say about most celebrity clothing lines.

Loved the dress, though the picture in this article does not do it justice. I love VB's line of dresses, very classic, classy and ladylike. I too wish she would market to (more of) the masses. I would like to see our First Lady is some VP, especially the evening wear. Miss M has the carriage and portage to carry it off.

I really like the dress on SJP! I wish that she would do a line that's lower price more in the J Crew price range. I don't like to spend too much on clothes but I like good clean styles.

i agree bob. sarah reminds me of jeri ryan. that chic who's freak republican husband wanted to watch her have sex with other men. both of thes women have great features. sarah has pretty eyes tho too close together, her nose is small but it needs something. shes pushing towards a leno chin. its like ya gots all the good parts, but they dont match. maybe her and jeri can play ms potato head and trade what works. HA!

I think that SJP Would have looked better in a dress with some sort of sleeve. She has reached the age when it is better to keep your upper arms covered.

a nose job wouldn't even make a difference.. that girl looks like a baboon !!! and when i hear the media say" the beautiful sjp " ,i keep wondering what and who r they really looking at,?? or those lenses on their camera r not focused to good , they should just say here is sjp and leave out the adjectives .. thats like saying camilla bowles is nice looking ,,,, brrr sends chills up my spine,,, sjp really thinks who the heck she is ..she can't act and is soooo over-rated it makes me want to puke !! the dress is beautiful,.... for the white house /..no ..! looks more like out to dinner, meet the girls to go to lunch . why can't the media just say the truth , what is she going to do ??? when u guys build people up so much and they don't deserve it , u look stupid. some one out there please say the truth just once and see what happens...

SJP obviously looks better than Mrs. O. They printed SJP's picture. The description of the Obamanation's wifw - violet with polka dots sounds hideous anyway. I thought polka dots went out in the 1950's

SJP not only has class....she is also beautiful, inside and out! Do any of you know of her past, and how she struggled to raise her siblings. She is kind, generous, and a lovely person. Jealousy doesn't become any of you. SJP......you are Beautiful, and an inspiration.

Why does everyone think people have to fit your criteria of what is beautiful.. the age old phrase beauty is in the eye of the beholder is sooooo true; And to all u young chicks that think u are never gonna get old lets see how you look at sjp's age. But truthfully some of u look as old as your mothers now.. to much tanning, drinking smoking and drugging and hate'n. Cia La vie

Have you ever met Sarah Jessica Parker before? She is very sweet and a lovely lady. Hey even John Kennedy Jr. knew that. She is a class act and is not at all full herself unlike other actresses out there.

Nancy Fox, if anything needs to be covered its her man hands, but the dress is beautiful and no matter how overrated or homely/different looking she is to anyone, she can wear anything. Everyone finds someone beautiful. And to be honest I dont know her past and her story doesnt affect my life nor does it impact me in any way. Thats great that she did that but im sure many people who are not in the spot light have done the same for those that they love as well. And laja the phrase is C'est la vie......

Parker may not be a typical mainstream beauty, but she embodies the idea that beauty comes from within. She has a radiance and a glow of happiness about her when she speaks and unlike the physical, time or bad lighting can never take that away.
The dress is beautiful and SJP looks great in it.
