Anna Wintour Toasts President Obama at Exclusive Dinner With Fashion Elite

Barricades and a white tent erected over the street greeted a small crowd of onlookers who turned out in the West Village to see the presidential motorcade arrive shortly after 7pm.
Security in the picturesque neighborhood -- just blocks from where Carrie Bradshaw and her friends nibbled cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery -- included a low-flying helicopter and armed units positioned on nearby rooftops.
Dinner guests are said to have included Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang, Harvey Weinstein, hotelier André Balazs, and actress Kerry Washington.
Also in attendance was Calvin Klein, who co-hosted a 2008 fund-raiser with Wintour for then presidential candidate Obama and his wife, Michelle.
Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley attended both events and interviewed Michelle, who was now first lady, for a cover story in the magazine's March 2009 issue.
It was a busy day for the president, who began with a visit to a New Jersey sandwich shop before crossing the Hudson River to shoot an episode of "The View" with hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
The president also attended another $30,400-a-head fund-raiser at the Four Seasons Hotel during his visit to Manhattan. The fee, which benefits the Democratic National Committee, is the most an individual is permitted by law to donate to a political party in a two-year election cycle.

When does this guy ever work? No wonder the country is a mess and he thinks the job "is easy"!!!!! Vacation in Maine...The View....Dinner at Vogue...going to Martha's Vineyard for another vaca. Yep, affirmative action at work!

All Obama does is eat gormet foods and vacation. The results for the USA are tragic. 10% unemployment, bank and business failures, home foreclosures continue at record levels unabated and Obama eats cake and vacations. Enough said! November is our change to change this. Vote Obama stooger out of office!

No wonder that Michele is fat since all they do is visit places that have free food. I read where they have special meals prepared for Obama's family which consists of chicken wings with some sort of sauce with orange flavor. Obama should be taking care of business instead of wasting millions of dollars in transportation costs. Ever since he was elected, many cities he visited are plagued with Bed Bugs which is no coincidence.

This is a little too much, the country is in a job crisis and the president is being honored at dinners with the fashion elite and taking vacations in Maine etc..... I have no job, gone through most of my savings and about give up my apartment. Is he ever going to work on getting the economy back on track so that those of us who want to work and live a somewhat normal life can do so. I give up, whats the use of complianing nothing is going to change. The only thing that does change is the BS that comes out of Washington, it gets worse. I'm so done will it all !!!!!
