Every once in a while I may give my eyelashes a boost with a few strategically placed falsies, but adorning my lids in deer and butterfly-shaped lashes would make my girlfriends question my mental health.

UK-based company Paperself are the geniuses behind 11 intricate faux lashes that fuse the art of Chinese paper-cutting and contemporary design. And each carries a symbolic meaning, with butterflies personifying freedom, beauty and sensitivity; horses representing success; and peach blossoms exemplifying love and romance. Talk about statement makeup!

Due to my age, I would probably only wear for part of a costume, but if 20 years younger I would most definitely wear, they are really very pretty.
