High Places' Mary Pearson: The 5 Things I Can't Live Without

When Mary Pearson -- one half of the indie duo High Places -- isn't creating atmospheric synth melodies, she can be found documenting her eclectic outfits on her fashion blog, Hype Laces. The style-savvy singer counts Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney and Céline among her favorite designers. In honor of her upcoming album, Original Colors (you can listen to its first single here), Pearson shares her must-have items.
1. Acne Copy T-shirt: Perfect for layering, these T-shirts have just the right amount of scoop at the neck and they are a great length. I have several in various colors, and they can withstand a lot of wear and washing. They also take up very little space when rolled up in my suitcase on tour.
2. Givenchy rubber ankle-strap sandals: Sandals are a necessity for L.A. living. I do a lot of walking, so I recently embarked upon a seemingly endless search for functional flat sandals. These sandals are like if Tevas and jelly shoes got together and had a slightly androgynous, slender, urban child. They are super versatile and durable.
3. Kala Eyewear Washer glasses: I need glasses for reading and round shapes suit my face best. Kala makes all of their glasses by hand in Northern California. I love that these specs never slide down my nose and that the lenses are anti-reflective.
4. Marni x Current/Elliott jeans: Pretty much my dream collaboration. The relaxed vibe of Current/Elliott denim with Marni's unexpected details.
5. Kate Spade hand-in-hand gold bangle: I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but this bracelet is so nice. I like the weight and width of it, and 25 percent of sales goes to support Women for Women International. The organization creates amazing opportunities for women in war-torn countries through job training and leadership education.
