Coco Rocha's Dazed & Confused Cover: Animal Ears are Back

HuffPost Social Reading

Coco Rocha's cover of September Dazed & Confused demonstrates the return of a horrifying trend: adult women wearing animal ears. Although Playboy has been a purveyor of the look for decades, bunny ears made their high fashion debut when Marc Jacobs designed some for Louis Vuitton's Spring 2009 collection. Maison Michel expanded the world of editorial ears beyond the bunny world to include mice, as well. After Madonna, Gaga and the Olsen twins wore their animal headgear in public, the trend seemed to disappear briefly, but unfortunately it seems to have reared its head once more. Will you sport bunny ears come fall?

"Horrifying' Trend for Adult Women"

Silly me!!! I thunked this was gonna be about the "horrifying trend" whereas fully growed, ADULT females, shave certain areas of their body to, I must assume, look like a pre-pubescent kid...I am sure pedophiles love that trend, but in all honesty, most of the fella's I know who "came of age" in the 50's, 60's, and 70's",
find it to be an affront to their sensibilities...but hey, them ears look to be quite functional, as maybe...handles, or grips...

So I vote we keep 'em!

Its a free country. However, you WIll be taken for an immature/free sprit crackpot.

When I was in college a bunch of friends and I bought furry foxtails at some camping store on a field trip and pinned them to the back of our jeans so we could swish our tails. Lol. that didnt last very long!!!
05:42 PM on 09/01/2011
Exactly!! It is a free Country AND you will be looked at as a loony. The problem today is you are allowed the freedom to be a loony, but not the freedom to be called one.
05:24 PM on 09/01/2011
Yeah, I'm sure this will become a hot trend - among morons.
05:23 PM on 09/01/2011
The "fashion" industry is so far removed from reality that they are totally inconsequential to the rest of the world.

So the trend this year is animal ears on women? This is stylish? ok....Madonna wore them.... so at what age should animal ears be tabooo? Over 10 I'm thinking!

Ok I cave....where do I get my animal ears???? I wonder if my husband would let me wear them out with him to the mall or our to dinner????? HECK NO!!!! He would probably tell me to take them off even if I was in the house...... Nope I guess I will get left out of this fad.... heavy sigghhhhhhh.
