Heidi Klum Reveals Her Favorite Outfits (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Logically, dressing for a red carpet event should be as simple as choosing a pretty frock off the rack and heading out the door... but, in an age of 'Who Wore It Best?' and 'Fashion Police' and 13 year-old fashion bloggers who supposedly control the pulse of fashion with one Tweet, it's anything but. I have walked quite a few red carpets over the past 18 years and have made it to the top of both the best, and worst, dressed lists.

Looking back over old photos, I don't regret any of the outfits I've worn.... because each of them is a great indicator of my personality... I am a woman who likes to take chances and surprise people with the unexpected. I am playful and I like to experiment... I love clothing and shoes and accessories... it is fun to dress up. Critics may not always agree with my choices but, ultimately, I dress to impress me.

These are some of my favorite red carpet looks from over the years... -Heidi (Check out HeidiKlum.Aol.com)

I wore this dress, designed by J. Mendel, to the CFDA Awards. I was newly pregnant at the time and the tiers conveniently masked my baby bump. I loved the champagne color against my tan skin. The chandelier earrings by Lorraine Schwartz were unbelievable and perfectly complimented Gilles' gorgeous dress. (Getty Images)

I'll never forget the first time I saw Heidi. She was on the Tonight Show when Johnny was still hosting. She was and still is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Victoria Principal in Life and Times of Roy Bean was and still is beautiful, Morgan Fairchild was and still is a beautiful woman. Hedy Lamaar was a beautiful woman. Vivian Leigh was a very pretty woman. Joan Collins in her day was a very, very pretty woman. Befoe I joined the party here at Camp Run AMok in 1957. An extremely pretty woman. They don't hold a candle to you, Heidi. Best Wishes Ed

She's about the only person who could wear those clothes and make the designer(s) proud. Beautiful!

Well, some of them are nice ... especially the classic, elegant two or three. But why is it women think that when they are nine months pregnant EVERYONE wants to see their huge tummies sticking out while the rest of their body is squeezed into a mermaid type dress or outfit? This propensity ... no matter how pretty or beautiful you are ... of displaying your pregnant tummy for all to see in today's culture is ridiculous. And when the rest of the populace follows suit it does not come off well.

Heide....when you had your nose job done...they didn't put your face back together evenly. And....you could slice tomatoes on your nose. Hope you got a discount.

When is Huffpost going to get their act together and fix their web site? Example; only 4 of the 10 pics of Heidi appeared. The same thing happens with news stories, they show a pic and a title but the story has no bearing to the title. They need to hire competent people who know their job.

More misses than hits in that group. If one of her contestants came up with a dress as short as the mini pictured, she would have asked if it came with a hair net. For a woman who has access to any designer she likes, she does not always make the best choices.

Wonder if she had a non male induced climax from feeling so sexy while wearing the garment?

I love her hair roots showing when she's pregnant. I guess it means that she doesn't use unhealthful die on her scalp when pregnant which is awesome!

Love Heidi and Also Think EVA LONGORIA ought to get into the Fashion and Modleing business..
You'd have Both the Tall and Petite Women we need MORE of in our Country..
Not the Short and Fat..
And maybe see more Girls from High School and Older Out on the Streets Jogging and Exercising like they should be..

Examples their Parents Should be doing, every Day after Dinner.. Just put on the Tennies, warm ujp suit and Take a Walk for 1-2 miles everyday after Dinner Parents and Set the Example for your Fat Lazy Kids!
