Michelle Williams: Style Evolution

HuffPost Social Reading

When Michelle Williams first appeared on the scene, she played second fiddle to Katie Holmes in teen drama Dawson's Creek. While Holmes went off to Marry Tom Cruise and "design" a "clothing line," Williams has become a successful, award-winning actress. Recently seen in Blue Valentine, Synecdoche, New York and Shutter Island, Williams will next take on the role of Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn. The young actress is recognizable on the red carpet for her platinum blonde pixie cut, designer duds and neutral tones.

Take a peek in our gallery below to see Williams' evolution from teen on a creek to A-list actress.

I think her pixie cut looks adorable because not many women look good with that cut. There were some hits and misses with the outfits, but it happens from time to time. At any rate, I think the cut makes her look more older and mature, so that's a good thing.

give her a tan and put her in a purple dress...she could get a great seat watching Congress during Presidential Campaign speeches...

Michelle Williams is beautiful. Dark, light, short or long hair doesn't matter. She seems like a good mom and a nice person, you never hear about her involved in drama etc!

You know...Sarah...I don't know Michelle and I don't know Katie...and the only thing I know about you is what oyu wrote here...but I'd be willing to bet that Michelle would never say things about Katie that you did.

I'm an avid movie and tv fan and I never heard of Michelle Williams. I don't know why anyone would choose her to play Marilyn Monroe - how embarassing for all of them - please keep looking if you must - she's definitely not the one !!

At least she stopped wearing dresses where her boobs were hanging out - that's a plus, but that white blond hair and dark eyebrows -- not attractive at all.

What the? This is Michelle Williams? The cute Michelle Williams with the adorable little turned up nose? Nooooooooooooooo! Plastic surgeons, you did it again. Ruined a perfectly wondeerful face and turned it into funny looking chopmeat. At least for now there's Katherine Heigl for all of us who love a girl next door type.

Katie will discover her acting depth when her marriage contract to Cruise is up. Like the two wives before her.

Poor Katie! That's about all I can say.
