Upcycle A Runner From...Toilet Paper Rolls? (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

This gorgeously modern runner may be minimal, but it's hiding a big secret: It's made from toilet paper tubes. And while no one would be able to recognize the runner's, um, humble beginnings, that doesn't mean this project is difficult. If you can cut, glue and spray paint, this runner is yours.

Want to try it yourself? Check out this slideshow.

Wow...if folks put this much negative fervor into things that really matter.. imagine how awesome life would be. I understand if you aren't into recycling... and outside of sorting my refuse for pickup and the random craft with the grandsons I don't do a whole lot of it. My daughter however makes awesome costumes, dresses and shirts from old bedsheets, it's an art. But you folks are missing out on the real art of a toilet paper tube. I use tp rolls and paper towel rolls to stuff dryer lint in them. I figured that at some time, I might need to light a fire, and would use a quick start. Never have, but ya never know. My grandson used to use them to build ramps with (carpet rolls, and paper printing rolls as well) for his hot wheels. healso built buildings with them. Had a suitcase full of them, used them like Lincoln logs.

I knew exactly what it was because I do the same project with the 3 year-old I babysit. We hang ours on the wall though.

Of course I'll believe it. I recognized it the moment I saw it. We used to raise rabbits for laboratory uses. It is all made from reconstituted rabbit sh**.

Use paper towel rolls for the vines and toilet paper rolls for the flowers. Gives a nice variance-
