Dior Velvet Eyes: Weird Beauty

Not every woman is capable of wielding liquid eyeliner to recreate the perfect winged-tip. Luckily for our shaky hand friends, Dior has designed Velvet Eyes.

The runway-inspired, adhesive eyeliner is available in four reusable styles: two pairs of matte black patches called “Effeft Velours;” one pair adorned with black Swarovski micro-crystals coined "Effeft Brilliant;" and an embellished pair with Swarovski crystals at the corner of each eye named "Effet Haute Couture."

With stick-on nail polish, eyeshadow and lipstick gaining popularity, what's one more appliqué to take the fuss out of getting pretty?

Would you toss your go-to eyeliner for Dior Velvet Eyes? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section and check out these new temporary lip tattoos.

Hard to tell what it would look like...I wish they'd have included a photo of a model with her eyes open!

Very Amy Winehouse.

I've reached an age where putting on too much makeup is something of a crime. However, age isn't the only thing that stopped me. Growing sensitivity to the makeup itself did, too. I admit that if I were young enough to swing it, this sort of product just might win me over - just pop it on, look swank, then pop it off? Not bad.

Lighten up everyone. It's Dior fashion. It's fun to see what the fashion artists have created. I, for one, wouldn't wear it...but I'm also not High Society or hang w/ the trendy and famous. But, I would love to see what it looks like when the eyes are open. It would be fun to attend a High Society or Famous Rockers party to see the the latest and greatest!

Ever since I broke my hand years ago, I haven't had the best fine motor skills. I usually use a flat liner brush with the Trish McEvoy powder liners and then go over it with a damp eyeliner brush extending the line out and up. If Dior would make a normal, very much less dramatic version than the one shown, I would probably try it. It could be a good evening look, especially with a red lipstick/gloss.

Wow, if I want to look like Spock I'll dress up and go to a Star Trek convention! UGH That is so ugly! It's totally the Amy Winehouse look! Nobody wants to look like that unless it's for a photo shoot for some strange mod lay out! Normal women don't walk around ANYWHERE looking like that! That looks is OLD and UGLY and I've been doing make up and hair for 27 years so I can tell you that NO client of mine ever wants to look like that! Sheesh!
They're just trying to push this crap on young girls and female impersonators!

If they had this when I was younger I would have turned Gay just to use it! (there, that should do it...LOL)

Nice Xotic Eyes Rip-off but theirs are better, and are less likely to break the bank. http://www.summitfashions.com/c=xdPSoc9A8X1OoBASWLUq5Wdrh/category/accessories.a-xotic-eyes/
