While practice will of course makes perfect, there are a few tips (and tools) to getting it right.

So glad I stumbled onto this video! Such a great look, and amazingly easy to follow steps! I'm going to a wedding next weekend and can't wait to show off my new cat eye look. Thanks!

I love how the people criticizing this person for this tutorial can't even spell correctly.

You people are rediculous. She did great. This a tutoral to give basic, easy instructions to do the cat eye FOR THE AVERAGE person. No more no less. Why are you people leaving negative comments? If everyone is such a expert make up artist where's your video then. Some of these comments are just good ol' fashion hatin!

This is a great tutorial! So many girls want to know how to do this, and it's easy for anyone to follow. And by the way, for people who are saying negative things, it's not meant for makeup artists, it's meant for everyone. If you're a makeup artist, then you already know how to do this. Stop hatin'!

Liquid liner is too harsh & unnatrual.

Amateur. I do cat-eye every, single day and have for over 15 years. Her's was smeared and cheap looking. Also, while showing her "wing" (where did she get this term???) it showed how she allowed it to dry unevenly. I ONLY use Revlon Colorstay eyeliner and it doesn't smear AT ALL. Ever. It takes seconds in the morning for me to do and I don't touch it up all day. I've also had many women ask me what brand of "liquid eyeliner" I use and I tell them: Colorstay, only Colorstay and not the liquid, the pencil. Smashbox, I'm embarrassed for you. A Post-It note? Please! Don't be ridiculous.
