Sarah Jessica Parker Wears Leopard-Printed Denim Jacket: Snap Judgment

HuffPost Social Reading

Sarah Jessica Parker may have played a stylish New Yorker in the Sex and the City series, but sometimes the actress makes us question her wardrobe choices.

For example: SJP stepped out with her son, James Wilkie, wearing denim on denim on September 22 in NYC. And while we're all about doubling up on the fabric, so long as it's with contrast washes, Parker chose to wear similar hues. And to add to her offense, the leading lady chose a victorian-style jacket adorned with leopard-print.

What do you think of SJP's daring denim look? Let us know in the comments section below and don't miss our list of the worst celebrity denim moments.

When she's not on the red carpet for work, she can wear anything she wants. I like that about her.

When I first saw this, I thought, oh my goodness she's wearing my jacket. A jacket I wore in the late 70's in high school. Even though she is slender I do believe a darker wash and wider leg jean would flatter her a little better. And would probably even work with the jacket, even though it does look dated. I thought she was supposed to be big on style. Even in a hurry this is kind of a mess! Her son is absolutely adorable, looks like my son at that age.

Some of you need mental health councelling. Such cruel, demeaning remarks for a woman who is obviously walking her young son to school along the streets of Manhattan. She is casually dressed, no make-up and her naturally curly hair is flowing freely.

If she was on the red carpet and fashionally made up, then you would have the right to criticize her appearance, but such rancor toward Sarah stuns me. She has a singular, not classic, beauty of her own and an excellent sense of style usually looking spectacular on the red carpet at various events.

She portrayed Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City and wore many beautiful and oddball outfits during its' 6 years run, yet the make-up, hair and fashion stylists on that show always had Sarah looking fantastic.

You may not like her but why the harsh, vitriolic words? Reading these columns and the ensuing comments, I'm left to ponder why so many people can only find demeaning and cruel things to say when it comes to making comments. Our society has become too expectant of perfection and less will never do apparently!
