Catherine Zeta-Jones: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Catherine Zeta-Jones' acting career has been on a bit of a hiatus since 2009, but that doesn't mean that the breathtaking beauty hasn't been working. In fact, Catherine has three new films debuting next year, the most anticipated being an on-screen adaptation of Broadway's hit musical, Rock of Ages.

She's one of Hollywood's most gorgeous and talented leading ladies, and by the way things are going in her career, it seems like she's also one star who will continue to shine for years to come. Today, on her 42nd birthday, take a look back through some of her most memorable style moments.

She has an odd figure and goes back and forth between looking 35 and 50. Gorgeous face but definitely some misses in the fashion department over the years.

An iconically beautiful and talented woman. She is as tough as nails and is not afraid to stand toe-to-toe with anyone.

I first saw her playing the daughter in "Darling Buds of May" a BBC (?) series with Pam Ferris and David Jason, 2 of the the UK's oustanding actors. She was beathtaking at the time and never stopped being so. Her early smash musical performances on the London Stage set her up as a natural for "Chicago", so her pure talent must not be overlooked. She spends part of the year north of Montreal in the Lauentians where she is known simply as "Kate". In the parlance kudos of my generation, a "class broad" indeed.

How is it these beautiful women marry these old guys. She's stunning. And she's lost a lot of weight btw.

I can't figure out how she is only 42 years old. It seems at least 30 years ago that she played a mom with a baby on that British sit-com.

Catherine Zeta-Jones looked more mature than she was, It actually hindered her early career. When she came to holly-wood I think she started lying and stated she was three or four years older than she actually was to land 'women's' roles as she did not fit the arch-type of a 'girl' in her twenties. This has happened to many actresses who ooze that old soul quality. Glenn Close, Betty Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren are all examples of actresses who portrayed 'women' when they were still quite young.
There is a time in the mid 90's when Catherine Zeta Jones started to have annual 32nd birthdays because she had finally caught up to the age she looked.

Good heavens, people, she's gorgeous, and I'm not even a huge fan! Yes, her weight varies. Whose doesn't? And in at least one of these photos, I think she was pregnant, for heaven's sake. I'm more impressed, however, with her honesty recently about battling a the bipolar mood disorder. Between this and her husband's cancer battle, she's taken a few on the chin now, matured, and frankly, I suspect we have yet to see her best performances. Here's hoping she has many years of brilliant performances ahead of her.

Seriously...you really expect us to give this article any serious attention. This woman would look beyond goregous in a burlap bag...first off she was born with good bone structure and dna...add to that enough money to buy great clothes, great hair and makeup and anything else you need to complete the picture...so really...this isn't really an article ...it's a statement on beauty and wealth...

She is formerly kinky haired, pug nosed plain ordinary person who had her face and hair artificially perfected. When are people going to learn that Hollywood stars are fake???!!!

What's the matter maryann, are you disappointed that you don't look as good a kinky haired, pug nosed, plain ordinary person?

The posts that cut on her have got to be from women. She is absolutely gorgeous.
02:20 PM on 09/25/2011
Again we don't leave her alone. She is considered "classy" because she speaks with an English accent. Wow wee. Some say she is the prettiest English woman. Surely you jest.

To add my commments after reading those below is probably a wste of time but, how can you ignore a headline like, "Catherine Stunned With A High Slit?" AOL needs to either fire the HUFFPOST for having such inept writers (I refuse to use the term "journalists" for these bozos), or insist that they (the HUFFPOST) hire a more competent staff. The "news" from this amateur group is consistently poorly written and edited. They give amateur writers a bad name.
