British makeup artist Lisa Eldridge, who helps guide my brushes from the palette to my face with her reassuring voice and smile in the Chanel Makeup Confidential videos, recently unveiled the French fashion house's Spring 2012 nail colors on her website. The candy-colored trio of shades include April (a rich garnet), May (a rose pink) and June (a creamy pastel apricot). But it's the latter polish that caught my attention, as it reminded me of the orange sherbet my grandmother bought for hazy, summer days in South Carolina.

"I was immediately drawn to June (I'm wearing it in the pic) as its one of those shades that flatters many skin-tones," wrote Eldridge. "I'm all about June's future bloom."

I suggest you run -- don't walk -- to beauty counters when these lacquers hit counters in January.

What do you think of the Spring 2012 Chanel nail colors? Which month is your favorite shade?

I only prefer pink (all shades of pink), red, and neutral colors. And sometimes I wear clear.

i like a lady leave natural her nails that way,
no need to color paint on her nails

UGH. That's like saying I like a man who wears NO DEODORANT. Sophisticated beautiful women paint their nails and toes.

haha that is a different story,
a deodorant inside the pitarm is hiding and smelling good,
no show see it,
paint the nail is seeing and showing off vain to another person see it,
a person can be envy or jealous then copy,
no smelling at all

Anyone can wear June??? Uh no....no one who wears blue tone based colors....my skin looks positively GREEN when next to yellow-based tones. I might give April or May a try though.

I think you may have misread...she didn't say "any" skintone...she said "many". Personally, I love the apricot color and can't wait to give it a try!! :)

I had the exact same response to June, Chanel's new color nail polish. It's marvellously attractive and anyone can wear it. Stunning!
