23 Classic Pinup Girls (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

While most women may have hung posters of boy bands and Johnny Depp on their walls, most men had posters of famous pinup girls such as Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot. Their luscious hair and voluptuous bods were hung on walls and drawn onto sides of planes. They knew how to work their curves and keep all eyes on them -– something we definitely can all take note of.

Check out the gallery to see more famous pinup girls and tell us what you think in the comments below.

Meanwhile, you'll never guess how much the most expensive bra costs.

I can get a better sellection of photos looking through an average Photoplay magazine from the 1940s. Oh, Well. I always was a fan of big Hedy and Rita but don't forget Susan Hayworth or Ann Sheridan. There's a 70 year old pic of Ann, fully wrapped in a big puffy robe, in my office that blows the sox off any of the new comers.

I remember when Farrah Fawcet became a 'pin-up' girl. She was one of Charlie's Angels. She really sold a lot of posters.

Although this was my fathers generation, i remember seeing these pictures growing up. The younger generation now wouldn't understand what these woman and pictures meant at that time, especialy during the war. It was a different world back then, and sadley, that generation and their ways, are now in the past. But to be honest, they could have chosen better pictures of all of them. I've seen alot better pictures than the ones they chose . But , they are all good looking ladies, and i agree, they left out a few. But we didn't.......Carry on, gentelmen !!!

Good point.

There had to have been black pinup girls.

I found this photo. Don't know who she is.

Next to Mrs. Day,

Sophia Loren has always been my dream date.

Rita Hayworth, my choice

Who selected these particular photos? That one of Rita Hayworth is awful! Rita was one of the most beautiful women ever to appear in films. The classic pin-up of her kneeling on a bed wearing a satin nightgwon was one of the most popular during World War II and is a stunner! Try to catch a showing of 'Gilda' on TCM and you'll be amazed by her beauty!

Grow up. little boy.

This article has one of the worst lede sentences I've read in a long time. Comparing women hanging posters of boy bands and Johnny Depp to men hanging posters of Brigitte Bardot as if all this is happening in the same century takes the cake for bad writing.

More evidence that big-time websites will publish anything, no matter how ridiculous, just to fill otherwise empty space.

Maybe it's just the color, but Diana Dors looks terrific here.

Many folks do not know, btw, that Hedy Lamarr was the inventor of the process used in today's cell phone systems.
