Amazing Pumpkin Carving Ideas For Halloween Crafts (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Last year, a neighbor decided to pay tribute to the Golden Girls with four elaborately carved pumpkins. There's no evidence of this happening because the carved pumpkins were stolen less than 6 hours after they made their debut.

Thank you for being a friend, indeed.

And to answer your question: No, it wasn't us. Though we're a little...clumsy...in the carving department, a well-done pumpkin is something we can all enjoy. If you can't beat 'em, ogle 'em. Or something like that. Here's a slideshow of our favorite ones spotted on the internet, which we'll continually update with more amazing finds. And feel free to add your favorites to the mix by clicking "Add Slide."

Editor's note: If you're feeling inspired to step it up in the pumpkin carving department, don't just head to the kitchen for a knife. The secret to an elaborately-carved pumpkin is to use a linoleum cutter set. It'll set you back about $8. And read up on this great pumpkin carving tutorial from Serious Eats.

Nice job! We have always carved pumpkins every year. Ours don't look as good as these, but we have a blast. I get all the cousins over. We read the Pumpkin Gospel, so we remember to include Christ in everything we do. Then we get to cleaning and carving!

Have fun with it!
