I WHOLEHEARTLY AGREE with the "less is more" movement in fashion. Here in New York, many of us fashionnistas tend to shy away from from dressing "head-to-toe" in designer garb. Its trashy, shows NO IMAGINATION, AND IS NOT WHAT FASHION IS ABOUT!!!. Fashion is about taking from these established designers, styles that ARE YOU!! not anyone else, making that style, silhouette, your own, through accessorizing, etc. Going out to a brunch in a pair of sexy sweats, accessorized to the hilt (perfection), ie, if its cold, have on a great pair of fur boots, er,..maybe a delicious fend mink shearling,...and then why not take it over the top with a 2 million dollar pair of D-flawless studs in your ear, and a diamond bracelet. The look says fabulousness, without "getting all dressed up" in order to do so. Top this whole assemble with a dashing Pashmina shawl. Fab look, with status, class, and a little bit of "New York " grit.

Despite opinions about Isaac Mizrahi's fashion line, I wholeheartedly agree with his stance on plastic surgery. I recently saw a photo of Linda Evans, and my jaw dropped! She used to be a pretty woman, and now she looks scary! What a shame... I've never seen a naturally aged woman who looked scary. Old maybe, but not scary. So I'm with Isaac on this one!

It's the truth and it's not a good look. If you're not naturally blessed with full lips... many women come off looking like ducks and it's quite noticeable. I don't care what your surgeon says, we can not stop the inevitable and self-mutilation looks just like self-mutilation.

I agree with the face work thing. Most do not look better, or even younger, they just look different. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't get the latest skin care laser treatments, etc. for a perfect glowing complexion. I think a beautiful healthy glow from a good diet, exercise, and skincare is the best thing you can do to look fabulous. I'm saying that surgical re-draping of your skin into a new position, implants of any kind (with the exception of reconstructive purposes) almost always look bad. Look at what Faye Dunaway has done to her face, for example. She was once one of the most beautiful women in acting. Now she looks awful. She should have just let nature take its course. Couldn't have possibly been worse than what she looks like now.

I am a HUGE fan of Isaac Mizrahi...the love started when he paired a plain white tshirt with an amazing long brightly colored skirt. He is honest and not afraid to speak his mind - very refreshing.

He has a point of view which comes from an educated/cultured place, so I can believe he feels this way. The majority of people today mistake label/logos as fashion...they are not equal at all

I watch Isaac on QVC and his clothes look cheap and overpriced. I don't know why he is such a great designer for middle income America. Also he should learn to dress himself. He wears the ugliest clothes and thongs shoes and sneakers. He shows no class in his own dress. I hate his black pants and jackets as they look cheap and no class at all. He needs someone to style his clothes and dress him so he looks professional enough to sell his clothes. This is my opinion of Isaac. I like the guy but everything he makes for QVC he loves, of course he loves it he made it and trying to get you to buy it and most of it is just plain ugly.

LOL, let me know when your clothing line comes out so you can dazzle me with your brilliance. what a t a r d .

I am stupid but I know a little about clothing which he has to learn.

I agree with Pie 17, He is a disgrace and I will not purchase anything that has his name on it. QVC goes off when he comes on. Thanks for the comments.

Wow, so true.... I watch a move call "Burlesque" with Cher and she looks exactley like she did 30 years ago except when she had an emotional scene, her face didn't move! It was a crying and highly emotional scene, and I swear to God, I saw her lips moving, but her face was "Frozen" in time.lol

I don't agree at all that Cher looks the same as she did 30 years ago. She looks like a different person. She erased her face. Moreover, you can only re-stuff an old couch with so much filler. She has gone way beyond the point of return. She looks awful. Recent events show her to have what appears to be tape on each side of her chin holding it up. This is an old Hollywood trick. Cher has not turned back time.

There is somethig special about him.

I love everything about this man Issac Mizrahi. His style, his honesty, he tells it like it is. I wish that I could meet him , just to tell him that. In this day and age there is so much BS and drama and certainly not enough truth. Great success has come to you because of your great gift of how a woman can look better at any age, I LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR WOMEN. THANK YOU

I agree, gardema713. This talented and gentle man (two words) appreciates that beauty eminates from within. I've seen women who were considered "beautiful", but their attitude and personality made them ugly. And there are those who may be unfortunate to have a physical imperfection who glow. Don't let this distress you. Work on the inside. Your outlook will improve and you will feel better for it, and so will others in your company. No, I'm not talking "sour grapes" (Aesop) nor do I consider myself "beautiful", just making the best I can with day to day activities and enjoying my life and those around me. As Isaac might paraphrase, "Measure twice and cut once.(My sewing machine is my security blanket) I, too would like to meet him, I really watch for his appearances on TV. I used to love to watch his show where he designed for guests and give advice on style and make a sketch for them and sign it. What a thrill to have something like that. Long may he design! Thank you, Isaac (If I may be so familiar!)
