As Ralphie in Christmas Story said..........son of a bitch a crummy commercial. By what stretch of the imagination is this news? I don't pay for this service to be bombarded with cosmetic ads and I am sick of the assumption that all users are womeln. NEWS that matters???? aol was bad enough now with Huff Post its pathetic. Repeat silly junk over and over and don't bother to actually cover NEWSWORTHY events. And all articles are filled with the writer's own opinion for which I doubt anybody gives a damn. Other internet providers are becoming more and more attractive. Cover the NEWS or give it up.

It doesn't really matter with a plane Jane like her. She looks the same either way.

That was a sloppy mess. The so called make-up artist needs to work on her own look before working on others. And she needs to remember that this is 2011.

Must say the chick didn't look to pleased neither.

eve pearl is simply doing an infomercial for her own products. shoulda used a celebrity in this case. she managed to be a main article of aol/hp...go the rest of the mile for a homerun!

20 products to look the same if not worse. and the result of all of that make-up with be bad skin. she is not a candidate for that STUFF and her skin will end of breaking out. A lotta lipstick would have done it. Unless you're outta sight looking, mascara often works against you ..so does eye shadow. and a liquid foundation with powdered blush! back in the 70's kohl's was a big think. it was a big seller at il mackiage in new york, for those of you who remember it. 60th st between 3rd and lex. pearalized lipstick is not sophisticated- a matt lipstick with gloss over it is much more becoming. spend a little time in the sun and wind and you'll have really healthy looking cheeks. au naturel...the way to go! what might have made a big difference would have been a few blond streaks in her hair, to break up the monotinty and letting it dry naturally- again and lastly, wild and au naturel.!

Why not use a house paint?

That makeup looked terrible! Her tips were WAY off! Don't follow them!

Lovely woman, but the makeover, ummm...NO. The "make-up artist", ( I use the term loosely), needs some updated training, as well as an updated look for herself. The eyes here-just not good work, and the model HAS large, beautiful eyes. Different shading and contouring could have really worked here; and even the lips and color choices; just not flattering (and very dark). This looks very dated; it's not a fresh, or glowing look for this young woman- whom has great features and is quite pretty.

That was a whole lot of product being used just to have her end up not looking much different than she did before her makeover. What a waste of time and energy with no real visible improvement. Definitely not a 'Wow Factor Look".

Rachel is a very cute girl, with beautiful skin. The makeup artist did nothing to bring out her best features. The choice of colors was horrific. The eye shadow just looked like it was gray or black and quite frankly, can't think of ANYBODY, that would look good on. I think Rachel should take a trip to Macy's or other high end store and hopefully find somebody who knows more about the better shades of makeup to use and go with a mineral foundation. I've never seen a worse makeover.

The "Not-so Wow" factor...makeup artist usedway too much product. My rule of thumb..if the person doing your makeup has crappy makeup on..proceed ahead with caution!

I don't mean to be critical, but I didn't see any difference that would justify having all that "product" all over her face.

Personally, I could never date a model; I like "wash n wear" women, and I thought she was attractive as was. She certainly has beautiful teeth and a light up the room kind of smile.

I cannot figure out why you would put eye shadow on before foundation.
11:27 PM on 10/21/2011
I am not sure, but I think she had primer on her lids before she went into the actual application of the eyemakeup. But you're right, foundation is always first!
02:57 AM on 10/22/2011
Foundation isn't always necessarily first. When applying a dark eyeshadow on someone there is always the chance that it will flake. If you wipe those flakes they tend to streak across the face. As a makeup artist myself (although I wasn't impressed by this one) I find it frustrating to make someone have flawless skin and have to start over in some areas because her cheeks are now black. :/ So dark eyeshadow goes first.

She was such a lovely girl and the stylist just made her look greasy. I think that she should have used a little less eye makeup and then the mineral foundations would have given her coverage without the dirty oily look. Too much lipstick in a too dark color also. Congratulations to Rachel on the weight loss.
