oh man, we went thru this a few years ago. this look will be so 'dated' in 5 minutes, you're nuts if you buy into it.

I love the cape coats. I have 3, black, brown and winter white, with matching gloves and scarves. (non fur, of course) What I love about them is you can layer as much or as little, underneath as you want. They are very comfortable if you are wearing a blazer or professional clothing; you don't have to worry about your clothes wrinkling like a fitted coat might tend to do to your clothes.

Those aren't "new". I wore one in the 60s. I think they dropped out of sight so quickly because they're not very warm. There's nothing to hold one down if a stiff breeze comes along.
