Anne Hathaway: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

In Anne Hathaway’s flicks such as “The Princess Diaries” and “The Devil Wears Prada,” the brunette actress gets made-over from dorky and frumpy to sleek and chic. But it looks like Hathaway is doing a good job on the red carpet by swapping denim for glam gowns and strappy sandals for platform heels.

Check out the gallery below as we celebrate the star’s 29th birthday this Saturday with a look back at her red carpet styles.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

This is amazing, I am thinking watching a young woman being pushed into changing her fashion choices and transforms her look right before our eyes should be made into a movie. As a matter of choice she would be awesome in the role. I am thinking it will be a hit. :)

Anne Hathaway, IMO, has a beauty that is unique to Hollywood. She can make jeans and a top look stylish, and when she steps into a ball gown, she knows the correct etiquette and how to work the red carpet... Also, I've never seen an actress, with such a broad range of acting that Anne Hathaway has. From comedy to drama, she can do it all, while keeping her cool, the entire time!! Love her!

She is our shinning star of N.J. I saw her about two years ago in a street front cafe in Cape May. Everyone thought she was trying to be incognito but, the next night she was seen partying down in a local club. She was being herself and the patrons appreciated every minute of it. She is what N.J. has needed for a long time. We love Her.

I bet she smells great! Is that creepy?

Sorry. To me this woman is really ugly. If I seat at any square in any city in the US, the average girl who passes by, is better looking than her. I must agree with those who said publicly at the Oscars she doesn't deserve to be on the spotlight.

agreed

She can not act, she is rather ugly, why is she in the news? Rather look at Sasha Grey.

Anne Hathaway is a beautiful woman and an extremely talented actress. That being said, she owes her style to the brilliant Rachel Zoe, who styles her to perfection! There are many actresses and public figures who could take a lesson from this lovely lady, it is not easy to know what to wear and how to accessorize oneself for important occasions, and there are those blessed with the talent to do so for those who can afford it! It is a wise woman who recognizes that being dressed impeccably is extremely important when you are in the public eye, and for those women who are not gifted in that aspect (Michelle Obama among others) it is wise to hire someone to do it for you! Some women have horrible taste, even if they have talent in other areas. It is a shame that many have too much pride not to recognize it and get the help they need. Brava Anne for not only being a wonderful actress, a charming woman, but a smart one in hiring Rachel Zoe to keep you always looking picture perfect, whether it is on a red carpet or in an interview, or merely lunching with friends!
