Craft Of The Day: Glitter Pinecones

We don't know about you, but our crafting doesn't stop for anything, not even the holidays. Glittered pinecones are quick to make and have a big impact, so they're the perfect last minute holiday decoration. All you need is pinecones, glitter, glue and a paintbrush. Before you begin, clean your pinecones with some water. Once dry, apply glue to the tips of the petals with a paint brush and then sprinkle glitter on those areas using your fingers or a plastic spoon. Shake off the excess glitter, let the pinecones dry and display them in a decorative bowl or glass vase.

I have cinnamon scented pine cones, but without glitter! Totally have to try this!

about the pinecones, one thing I've been doing for years with the cinnamon ones, as well as add the glitter is I will put them in a festive christmas looking basket and a bow around the base and handle then I wrap a set or two of mini christmas lights around each one as I'm stacking them into the basket, wen they're all finished, I set mine on my table, I make several, but once plugged in, as the lights warm they permeate the smell through out the house, so not only do they look beautiful they make the house smell wonderful, it's also a nice alternative to house sprays that I have some relatives with allergies that immediately start complaining about the "christmasy" room sprays, with these, they think I'm cooking something, who could complaim about that?
