Craft Of The Day: Advent Calendar
What better way to start off the Christmas season than to create an advent calendar? To make this one, you'll need 25 small boxes, such as matchboxes or earring cases, holiday colored paints, scrap-booking numbers (or card stock to cut yourself) and glue. First, paint the boxes red, green and tan, and let dry. Then, use craft glue to attach the numbers. We liked the varied look of this calendar, so feel free to play around with fonts and box sizes to make the calendar more interesting. Once you're done, place the boxes somewhere the whole family will see, like along the window sill or on the kitchen table, and remember to fill it with treats so everyone can get a nice surprise on each day of the countdown.
