'Advanced Style' Book By Ari Seth Cohen: A Sneak Peek (PHOTOS)

The Stylelist Blogger Network is a treasure trove of inspiration -- every day we learn something new from our members. Whether it's how to wear makeup with glasses or what Chris Benz's closet looks like, these bloggers are trendsetters and pioneers in their fields.
But it's Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style whose blog is unlike any other we've seen. It's street style for the senior set -- each of his subjects is over 50 years old and believes that age shouldn't limit style.
Ari's new book "Advanced Style" is available for pre-order on Amazon.com and is a great gift for the fashionista in your family, no matter what their age! (Plus, the women offer pearls of wisdom on everything from style to aging to life, like "In your body is a good place to be." and "Don't worry about geting older, every era builds character." and an amazing interview between Dita Von Teese and 91-year-old Ilona Royce Smithkin.)

This comment has not yet been postedI'm not altogether unhappy with the way I'm aging at all. It has loads of advantages over being 20 again and if Americans can accept the idea that older can be still beautiful and chic, life will get much happier for women in this country.
They appreciate us in Europe. And these pictures ought to tell people why they do - there is beauty after 50, after 60, after 90, after 100 -
The chic New Yorkers, like Carmen, are mostly over 50 and onward.
These ladies are eccentrics~~~and more power to them~~~but they aren't representative for the most part of the Elegant Older Woman, who probably was once a stylish, trendy Young Woman, who knew how to dress for the occasion~~~in something other than skinny jeans!!
