Believe it or not, holiday cards do not need to be red, green and gold. Sometimes, a cute card with a personal touch is all you need, and this owl card fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to make, totally adorable and sure to stand out - need we say more?

What You'll Need To Make The Card:
Construction paper
Scissors
Glue stick
Pencil
Envelope template

How To Make The Card:
1. Draw a simple owl on brown construction paper.
2. Fold the construction paper in half, and include a sliver of the owl's body in the fold (this is where the back and front side of your card will connect).
3. Cut the owl out and unfold to create two conjoined owls.
4. Cut out two large circles from turquoise construction paper, two smaller circles from blue construction paper and a tiny triangle from orange construction paper.
5. Glue these accessories onto the owl. Start with the turquoise eyes, then add the blue pupils and finish with the orange nose.
6. Use scissors to make the zig-zag impressions.
7. Optional - Recreate the basic owl template using white card stock and glue to the inside so you have a cleaner surface to write your message on.
8. Now, set the owl aside and turn to the envelope.
9. Use the template to cut the basic shape from blue construction paper - feel free to create your own tree shape at the top.
10. Copy the tree line and cut it out in turquoise.
11. Glue the turquoise piece to the blue piece and fold the envelope.
12. Cut the tree trunk using brown construction paper and glue it to the front of the card.
