Every girl has a stack of jeans on their shelf. But most girls, myself included, gravitate toward one or two pairs in their closet that offer a security blanket feeling--always comforting, always fits just right, while the rest feel like strangers in your own home. Shopping for jeans is a nightmare--there are so many brands and so many different fits and styles. The good news is that there is something for everyone, so check out our slideshow below and tell me, which style works best for you? And add your styling tips in the comments section!

The low rider jeans started when Britney Spears showd her midriff in her videos. It gained popularity with the rise of fame of Britney Spears. Why would any woman want to wear low rider jeans is beyond me because it's the single most unflattering clothes on any woman except super models. It emphasizes women's muffin tops and make everyone look awful and shapelessly bulging in the worst places. Let's get back to the sensible jeans that cover tummies and muffin tops.

Ridiculous, stupid, nonsense and totally out of touch with anyone who wants jeans to FIT and not jeans that show off your butt crack even though at the end they dismiss that part entirely. They NEVER tell us that have NO rear ends what we should try to find. That is why my female family members go to men's jeans. Why can't women's jeans also tell what the length of the inseam on the label just like men's? You could also just use hip measurement instead of waist and anyone can find the right size without going through all this trouble and waste of time.

You make some good points. I must say that I never noticed how many women have no discernable bottoms until hip-huggers became the only jeans in the stores. They are really not flattering to any body type that I can think of - and I can't imagine wearing them in cold weather, since your shirt won't stay tucked in!

Luckily for me, L. L. Bean never stopped making their 'Classic' style jeans, which sit at the natural waist. Some people may laugh at them as 'Mom jeans,' but they make most bodies' proportions look normal, unlike the low-cut models. I swear by them; they make my butt still look pretty good even though I'm not as skinny as I was back in my hippie days anymore.

jeans are sometimes like duct tape....if you took the duct tape off, stuff would spill out all over the place....

Little in the Middle jeans are great for the pear/hourglass shape. You can view customer feedback on the Little in the Middle facebook page. You can check out Little in the Middle at http://www.littleinthemiddle.com.

Also, My True Fit is a great website to help you find jeans for any shape.

If you live near a Me-Ality body scanner, you can get a quick scan to find out the best jeans for your shape.

I buy almost everything except food and clothing from online auctions.

Most people aren't aware of the almost unbelievable deals that they
can get from online auction sites.

The site that has the best deals is ( http://tinyurl.com/TopDealsOnline )

and I checked with the Better Business Bureau and was told that it is
all legit. How they can sell gift cards, laptops, cameras, and all
kinds of goodies that we all want for 50-90% off, I don't know. I do
know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my
husband a $250 Loews gift cards for $48.

Why would I even think about shopping anyplace else?

plus sizes and muffin tops...please NO JEANS,

Why do the slides saying 'Do wear high-waisted jeans' show photos of jeans that only come up to the hips? This redefinition by the fashion industry of where the female waist is located just fuels the idiotic practice of women and girls whose midriffs are bigger than their butts wearing hip-hugger jeans with their muffin-tops hanging over the 'waistband.'

That's all great except that "fashion" (arguably the most trivial topic on earth) dictates what the sheep wear. Hip huggers do not look good on most women, yet that's what they all wear because that is what is in every store in America. Consequently we are subjected to a world full of muffin tops, flat butts and camel toes. Because they are low the back pockets are on the back of the thigh and not on the butt. This makes it appear as if women do not have butts (what a crime) except that if they bend over proof is provided as well as their choice of underwear. It is rather funny how people get sucked in to "styles". I used to listen to women literally laughing at "what we wore" back in the seventies. Guess what,...They're baaack. Luckily for men who are more functional about this topic, it is easier to find things that are not in "style" however try to find a pair of high top tennis shoes. Someone has unfortunately decided we are not "suppose" to wear them. When jeans fit right they look great on both sexes. I'm just glad that the rediculous ultra baggy jeans are not my only choice. If they were I would not have any jeans.

I hate jeans. They are uncomfortable and boring and alot of people who wear them think that they are being rebels, but they all look the same. I think that if you want to stand out and look different don't wear denim.

Are you kidding? Jeans are the most comfortable streetwear in the world, if they fit well. That's why they are so universally popular. Of course, if you buy the ones that look painted-on, the seams will cut into your flesh and be uncomfortable, but that's not the point of wearing jeans. They are supposed to free you from worrying about being fashionable so you can just be yourself, without resorting to looking dumpy in sweats.

It's the body that makes the jeans, not the jeans that make the body.
