Lucy Liu played an icy lawyer in Ally McBeal and a ruthless fighter in “Charlie’s Angels” and “Kill Bill,” but on the red carpet, the actress doesn't exude such a tough exterior. The New York native reaches for girly frocks, ladylike silhouettes and isn’t shy about showing off her décolletage.

Recently, Liu has expanded her resume to showcasing her abstract art at an exhibit in London and continuing her work with UNICEF. We took a look back at her best red carpet ensembles to celebrate her 43rd birthday this Friday.

Lucy Liu, and the characters she's portrayed has always made my heart thump hard. In a day and age where feminine beauty comes a dime and dozen, hers' is ageless....at least to me. Lucy, you geaux girl!!! and cudo's for your work with UNICEF!!!!

Why is it that when the story reads about something that happened NOW;...you have to give a HISTORY of what happened over so many years?? Just show the picture the article is about, and let it go at that. Pictures of the past are available on the internet for anyone that wants to see them.

To my eye, she's just another average-looking Oriental woman with real bad taste in clothes. However, I'll never forget her role in Kill Bill. Her portrayal of the viscious female was right on the mark. To heck with her tastless clothing, let her fight!
