Art Basel 2011 Kick-Off: Naomi Campbell, Solange Knowles, P.Diddy And More (PHOTOS)
For the last ten years, Art Basel has drawn a handsome, worldly crowd of celebrities, art collectors, artists and designers, who storm Miami's South Beach in search of prestigious art and of course, the biggest and boldest parties. Though the famous festival officially begins today, the fashion, art and Hollywood elite have been mixing and mingling in South Beach since Tuesday night.
This year, offerings from the Basel party circuit include several events that brilliantly meld fashion with art. Case in point: Dior's pop-up shop collaboration with artist Anselm Reyle, feted two nights ago with a dinner at The Moore. Fendi also had a cocktail party that same night, celebrating their fourth year sponsorship of the four day long soiree. At each spot, guests like Solange Knowles, Naomi Campbell, P. Diddy and Pharrell Williams kicked things off in style. With so many jumping the gun on 2011's Art Basel scene, there's little doubt that there won't be more high-wattage, well-heeled stars to make appearances at this ocean-side mecca over the weekend.
