Shalom Harlow: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

We developed a girl crush on Canadian model Shalom Harlow after we saw the late Alexander McQueen’s spring/summer 1999 collection. Two robot arms spray painted the model's white dress as she rotated on a turntable -- an iconic moment in '90s fashion.

Off the runway, Harlow opts for easy-to-wear pieces like flowy dresses and trousers, but also knows how to take things up a notch with plunging necklines and lace sleeves.

Take a look back at Harlow's memorable outfits in the gallery below as we celebrate her 38th birthday this Monday.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

You don't have the picture, but her best look is when she dressed up as Snow White a few years back for some campaign that she did.

in 2000 and 2001, she had heart-shaped face with a nice chin. As of 2003, she had a square face with square jaws. Why? She was much prettier before she became a woman warrior.

Bony. Way too skinny. She looks like a female guy. Please don't go skinny. Men want curves, not edges.

Obviously this is a good example of why these fashion folk leave us way behind. I watch their choices for Oscar clothes etc and wonder "What the heck is wrong with their vision and senses?" This is bizarre...both the body and the clothes..sequins with ugly jeans?? She would scare most people who saw her out and about anywhere but a close enclave maybe. I'll be happy to make my own fashion booboo's but bet they will be better then this. Once again -- What the heck????

Are you kidding me??? Way too thin..looks anorexic. Clothes look horrible on her, although the outfits themselves are at best below average. Needs hair and makeup, please. Looks like someone forgot to tell the King he has no clothes on. LOL

Thank you, me either. Way too thin, needs hair and makeup. Clothes look hideous. What were they thinking???

I wasn't even aware of the existence of penny auctions until about 6 weeks ago. Now I can't imagine buying anything other than food or clothing anyplace else. My favorite is at ( http://tinyurl.com/TopDealsOnline ) It took me a few days to figure out how to bid but now I am savings big bucks there. How they can sell iPads, Macbooks, HDTVs, Digital Cameras, Gaming Consoles, and more for steep discounts of 75%, 80%, or even 85% off retail price, I don't know. I do know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my husband a $250 Loews gift cards for $48. Why would I shop anyplace else

I don't see her as a beauty...Just don't get it

Needs to gain 25 or 30 pounds. At the weight she is, she's metabolizing her own bone & muscle mass.
