Jennifer Connelly: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

With her dark hair, bold brows and graceful figure, it’s easy to see why actress Jennifer Connelly always attracts attention on the red carpet. The former face of Balenciaga once wore a baggy white suit and double denim before getting glam with ruffled gowns, colorful frocks and sleek separates.

In honor of Connelly’s 41st birthday this Monday, we took a look back at the Academy Award winning actress’ best style moments.

Judging from this group of photos, I'd conclude that Ms. Connelly desperately needs an honest stylist. Some of these outfits are extremely unflattering.

Women that look like Ms. Connolly turn heads regardless of what they wear.

Just by this gals body language I can tell she is rather conservative & suffers from bouts of depression but I like her style regardless.

I think she is a very pretty lady but her expression/eyebrows look a bit severe at times

The clothes don't make this woman. Bright, articulate, and winelike with regard to aging.....Smokin Hot!.... I'm all in!

This lady needs to buy a mirror and make sure she looks in it! Her wardrobe must have been picked out by Ray Charles!

Boy Jennifer sure has changed from the first movie I saw her in. I think she had a huge weight loss. She looks beautiful no matter what.

no apostrophes necessary --- apostrophes are only for possession, as in "this is Binky's favorite chew toy".

True Story: I accidentally met her and her husband (Husband is a true gentlemen by the way) in Vermont. I was heading into town, snowing out,and there was a car broken down side of road. Old car, not sure of make, but shouldnt have been out in that weather. They had broken down, I stopped to ask if they needed help, a ride? Had no idea who they were. He asked if I could give them a ride to their home a few miles away, as kids were freezing, in their pajamas only, no coats. I said sure, hop in. She refused! She said loud and clear "Im not getting into any truck, go get me a ride". Mr. Bettany pleaded with her, to no avail. She stayed, I gave him and kids a ride to auto parts store. He oredered parts, then I brought them home where the kids stayed with someone at the house. I then brought him back to his car. She jumped out, started screaming at him, wheres the car??? I ended up giving both a ride home. When we got to their house, she got out, didnt say a word, slammed my door. He thanked me profusely, and said if I ever needed anything to just ask. It wasnt until I got back to town, that the guy in auto parts store told me who they were. She was very rude. True story.

I don't know about Jennifer but I do know that if I were stranded on a road and some guy stopped in a truck to give me a ride anywhere, I would have been hesitant. Even with my husband being around. You never know who is stopping. When I was dating my ex-boyfriend, we came along some guys whose car had broken down. Bill put me in the front seat to get the car started while they pushed. I didn't feel totally at ease with it but I did it anyway. If you add children to the mix, I can only imagine the parental instincts kick in. So I can understand her in a way. She just might have been scared. For women, it's different.

I wish I could agree, I see your point. Im in my 50's,clean cut,and volunteer FF emblems all over my NEW truck. HE flagged me down. Used my phone to call. She was just being a *itch in plain English. I have a daughter, so I understand what you are saying. But this town makes MayBerry RFD look like Chicago. Mr Bettany was very gracious. Good luck to him. Also, who brings their kids out in a snowstorm, no coats in pajamas, and Im the bad guy?? I dont think so.

Perhaps, at that time, she was very getting angry at her husband; you know, when someone is in the mood of angry, he/she often doesn't act properly. Anyway, I agree that she behaved impolite. I actually hope that my reason is right because I think she has a beautiful personality and I love her.

I saw her in A Beautiful Mind and she was so elegant. Simple as an actress. I liked her. I had never seen her act before. It's good to know from one of the posters that she is humble. She probably just views acting as her chosen profession and doesn't think it's a big deal.

STYLE? Don't see any in one of those photos. I have never seen uglier clothes.
09:58 AM on 12/12/2011
You got that right. I don't think heads were turning because she looked attractive in those outfits. Those were the ugliest outfits I have seen in a long time. Yuck and double yuck.
