I credit Steve Jobs creating crowd excitement that borders on hysteria about technological stuff. Heck, the lines around the block when a new Apple product is released is more impressive than fans waiting for Gaga tickets. Before the sexification of Apple I'd look at a computer as not a gift, but as a learning tool (groan). Now I'd do a cartwheel if I saw an i-anything under the tree.
