We all remember the scene in "Something's Gotta Give" where Jack Nicholson's character bemoans the fact that Diane Keaton's uptight Erica wears turtlenecks in the middle of summer. Novelist Nora Ephron loves to talk about how she and her friends wear turtlenecks in her book, "I Feel Bad About My Neck". We are here to tell you that turtlenecks are not only for ladies with wobbly necks (though we will all be there one day!) Think of Audrey Hepburn in a slim turtleneck and capri pants in "Sabrina"--they create a lean silhouette and are easy to pull off in any situation. The turtleneck sweater is the white t-shirt of the winter season--you can pair it with just about anything, and layered under your favorite look it is guaranteed to keep you warm on those chilly winter days. Check out our guide to the best turtlenecks for your shape.

WOW, you are right Turtle necks are great "but really only for those that are tall, skinny, and have long necks. Turtle necks can itch you to pieces, cut of a short neck making you looke more like a turtle hiding in its shell trying to get out.

Happy Holidays, hope they are happy ones. ~ so many are out of jobs, homeless and trying to make things go for a more pleasent new year. Government has made a real mess out of the lives of a lot of people. And why pay into Soc Sec. its a Dying Trend and soon to end as they are saying now.

Good Luck, Smile if you can. ~ be glad your not in the shoes some are in or in tent city.

Could not agree more - what a joke. The models no more fit the description of the shape than the man in the moon.

how 'bout you show actual 'apple', 'pear', 'petite', 'hourglass' and 'busty' sized women instead of those skinny as a rail and six feet tall models that look good in anything, so we can see WHY those styles look good on those body shapes!!!

I agree. How are we suppose to pick the right style if we can't see it on someone our shape!

If you discuss apple and pear shaped women it's necessary to put them in the photos. Having such thin models in those particular photos doesn't make any sense. Maybe good advice but not executed very well.

Or, in the case of me and Dick Butkus, there is no right turtleneck. C'mom...if you have a short neck and oversized muscles up there forget about wearing a turtleneck. In my case the top is almost up to my ears. And people wonder why I wear colllarless shirts.
