Lady Gaga's Most Outrageous Looks of 2011 (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

This week, fashion guru Tim Gunn offered his sartorial opinion on Lady Gaga by stating, "she doesn't wear clothes, she wears costumes. I would never put her on a best dressed list or list her among fashion icons." Whether you agree with Mr. Gunn or not, there's no arguing that this year, Momma Monster has become a style staple everywhere from the red carpet, to the stage, to the streets.

Take a look through the gallery below to see Lady Gaga's year in style.

The guy is right, the Gaga lady wears costumes not fashion, but that's part of her image. She's always on stage, even when she's not. I think she challenges her designers to out do themselves with every outfit. That's show biz!! The only thing that bothers me are some of her shoes. She's going to take a nasty spill one day.

She makes America sick. She has talent but needs these freak shows and born this way nonsense to scam it up. Shame on her. She is old enough to know better. God Bless America. In God We Trust.

I guess it's easy for the small minded to hate someone they don't understand. I wonder if Elton John or David Bowie would have been as ridiculed for their flamboyance if they had the internet in the 70's. Probably so.

With all the money she makes, why not use it for some good- such as donating to World Wildlife Fund or Saint Jude or some charity she likes, instead of spending it on costumes? When you have that much talent, you don't need the costumes
06:10 AM on 12/16/2011
That is the reason for the costumes, she has no real talent except looking outragious. But I do agree, she could donate some to good causes, and skip the OMG appearance where she needs help walking and getting about in those ridiculous costumes. But then everyone likes a clown!

I'm glad she feels she is beautiful. If she realized what a majority of the people think of her, she quit. She looks someone who was released on a weekend furlough from a mental hospital. She is just too cheap and trashy looking. And no real talent!

Madonna wasn't any different, and she had talent. Gaga has a great voice, and is an entertainer. If you can't see past the outfits and hair and hear her voice then you're a bit closed minded. Adam Lambert has a great voice and is outragious too. You should probably never go to a Broadway play or a concert because there is a lot of freaky stuff going on, it might traumatize you.
