Christina Aguilera: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Christina Aguilera’s style has evolved 180 degrees -– and it’s not for the best. Don’t get us wrong, we were major fans of “The Voice” judge in the late 90s and early 2000s when she was belting hits like “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants” and “Beautiful," but girl could use a bit of help.

While her overall look has matured, the songstress hasn’t veered far from tight and revealing frocks.

See more of Aguilera’s red carpet fashions in the gallery below as she celebrates her 31st birthday this Sunday, and take the poll as to whether you think her style has gotten better or worse with age.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

Like all hispanic women, as each year passes, her behind gets larger and larger and her face gets hairier and hairier. What used to be cute first evolves into sexy, then slowly the pounds pile on and as the money rolls in, she gets bigger and less attractive and pays less attention to her appearance and/or what people say or think. Soon enough, she will start playing moms instead of daughters and then she can fade into rich and chunky obscurity...

In some of those pictures, it looks like her breasts are trying to get away from each other. On a lighter note, I much prefer her with a little meat on her bones.

She sure packed on the LBS after 2010. Better be more judicious with the outfits you pick girl. You do NOT have the sleek figure you used to have. Please dress accordingly.

There is dressing sexy without looking like a hooker....she is a beautiful lady and I wish someone would teach her how to dress sexy without looking like she's a street walker.

Girl got pipes, which means she can look like whatever she wants and wear whatever she wants. Turns out video DIDN'T kill the radio star, after all.

I've always been embarrassed for her - wearing way too much make-up. I've never understood why a pretty and talented girl feels it is necessary to go overboard like that. It worked for Dolly Parton and the Hee Haw gang, but I actually think she's more attractive as a brunette, which is probably closer to her natural color - instead of those awful bleached-blonde wigs. But even her recent acting career and implants don't distract from the cheap looking stripper outfits, and over-bleached, overly-lipglossed blood red lips and black goth eyeshadow. Once she had the music world by the giblets, I was hoping she'd mature and tone down the Gaga.

In the last few pics it looks like she has been hanging around the feeding trough too long.

I think she looked best in things like in
June 2004,
May 2001,
November 2000,
and
February 2000.
Back then even though some of her clothes were revealing, they complimented her very well, and some, like May 2001, were very tasteful. If I'm not wrong, she's put on some weight this year. I think she should stick with her same general style, but update it enough to continue to compliment the beauty she still has.

She has the greatest singing voice that I have ever heard in my life. Yes I do wish she would quit wearing cloths. Oh, was that the question:) Leave her alone. She's not an idiot like Brittany.

For me her best year was 2000 in the pics but she looked good in 04 and 05. She just has one of those bodies with no muscle tone so if she isn't really thin she looks fatter than she is.
