Meet This Menswear-Loving Theory Employee ... And Then Save 50% Shopping (PHOTOS)

"Shop Talk" is a new recurring feature in which we visit some of our favorite stores across the country, and highlight their chic employees. Today, we're browsing Theory's Meatpacking District flagship in NYC, which opened in 2006. They're also offering Stylelist readers an amazing 50% off sale Tuesday only. Click here for more.
Who: Sally Burnside, Visual Merchandising Director
How would you describe your own style?
I'm always mindful of bringing a menswear point of view into my dressing, but I also live and work downtown. So, it's like "nerdy guy meets downtown girl."
What's been flying out of the store lately?
Sweaters. The Loryelle sweater ($275) is here for the holidays. It's 100 percent wool with an open weave.
What's one thing every woman should have in her closet?
A great fashion pant, like the one I'm wearing right now. The Reawel-Hydric ($345) is a super-cool, very wide-leg, pleated pant. It works on a lot of different body shapes. And they're very sexy, because there's so much movement when you walk in them. [Note: These are included in the sale]
What's an essential piece that will keep your wardrobe current?
A well-tailored blazer will always keep you current, because it's seasonless.
What item are you coveting now?
The Hanalee fur vest ($1,295) is so on-trend and an easy fashion piece. You can layer it and dress it up or down.
What's your idea of the perfect holiday party outfit?
There's a fringe dress ($495) I love. I'd wear it with opaque tights, a motorcycle jacket and a bootie or Theyskens' Theory pump. I just got a motorcycle jacket in Paris, at a tiny vintage shop in Le Marais. It makes the outfit look more downtown.
