Susan Lucci: Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

I admit that I poke fun at celebrities who make terrible fashion choices on the red carpet (who doesn’t?), but it’s nice to see them nail it too. Case in point: Susan Lucci.

While the former "All My Children" star and New York native has sported a poufy perm, transparent dress and a blazer that reminds me of mustard and ketchup, she really hasn’t strayed too far from curve-skimming column gowns. Whether it’s bold red, shimmering gold, sexy animal print or a shorter hemline, Lucci loves the tried-and-true style.

Click through Lucci’s style evolution as we celebrate her 65th birthday this Friday.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

Susan is probably the envy of every American woman. I do agree with some of the comments though. If those boops didn't look so phony she'd be better. Stop trying to show of something phony. Yes, I think she is to thin (Palades) Put on a few lbs and you will look better.

Susan Lucci has more class in her little finger than you will ever even think of having. There is no way you could hold a candle to this talented, beautiful woman that exudes manners and class. You need to figure out why you choose to bash someone that is clearly heads above you.

I said it before, if you have the money that celebrities do you can look beautiful at 90 like Sophia Loren. You have your own trainer, own gym people to pout over you, your hairdresser, waxer, spa, etc. So stop showing how beautiful these woman are and show middle income woman who look good and have to work for it 40 hours every day for a week, go home and cook supper take care of the kids, drive car pools. These are the woman we should be praising for looking good, not celebritiess.

But Sophia Loren is not 90. She also is natural.

Sophia is natural because she has the money for all the things I listed she could do.

Common Sense Person That Doesn't Read Replies
11:48 AM on 12/23/2011
Some women were born lucky with small features and good genes that can wear the pretty little outfits and shoes that come with being this way. I'm larger boned but can not fit those beautiful little clothes and shoes which they never seem to make in larger sizes. My looks are good and genes for my looks are good because I'm 64 and everyone thinks I'm still in my 40's.

You can't have too much common sense if your motto is "common sense person that doesn't comment back". You are another bozo that should just keep your words to yourself.

She can easily tell how successfully she is conquering time, ..by the truly annoyed expessions on the faces of the women behind her in the photo that directs us to open the article.
Susan seriusly looks like she will always look as glamous!

this broad isnt anything but an old wrinkly prune lol
12:30 PM on 12/23/2011
Wow and how many women do you know in their 60's that look like this? She is hardly a "broad" or wrinkly.

If you can't say something nice then shut up

I'd hate to se what you look like no matter your age. I'd also like you to know that if you said that to Susan Lucci's face that she would respond to you with compete kindness. That just shows who is the better person here. Obviously it isn't you.

She looks fantastic! I have a cousin who resembles her alot. My cousin is over 50, and she still looks great too. Not much change since her wedding photos in the 70's. I think the Italian blood has something to do with it. Susan is ageless, Oh I'm sure there's been some work done on her, but hey, she carries it well. Two thumbs up Susan Lucci!

I get a big kick out of the fact that while this lady probably survives on itty bitty portions of food in order to keep her figure...her daughter is built like her dad, Susan's husband and we all know he's a BIG guy.
