Christopher Kane's Crochet Clothes Inspire Us: 7 Ways To Get The Look (PHOTOS)

Crochet used to be reserved for potholders and hippie-dippie sweaters. Now, thanks to the genius of British designer Christopher Kane, the loosely knit fabric has become modern again in deep-cut sweaters and dresses. Whether you go brave and opt for an off-the-shoulder sweater (with a tank underneath for modesty) or for a brightly colored pouch, go for it wholeheartedly. Or you could save your pennies and pick up the knitting needles--there's two New Years resolutions conquered at once.

Very funny. Who are today's grandmas" A lot of them are former hippies from the 60s and 70s. And many of them did crochet back then. It was all the rage. And the same things were being said then as now. The more things change the more they stay the same.;

Erm - knitting needles for crocheting? Possible, but not practical. I normally use a hook. Oh, and not being a Granny does not preclude me from crocheting either. Research fail and insult in one fell swoop!

Psst .... pick up your knitting needles if you want but you don't crochet with them. Research fail! And by the way it's pretty insulting to suggest that it's only grannies who crochet!

My stars! What in heaven's name could possibly justify 265.00 dollars for a crochet bracelet?? My daughter challenged me to replicate the above bracelet and she would attach the adjoining clasps from an old broken silver chain. I whipped this little diddy up in less than 30 minutes while watching Antique Roadshow on PBS....good gawd! There is no cure for human stupidity in the name of fashion is there?

The bracelet is chrocheted out of stainless steel which would explain the price.
