Ah, I remember in high school buying DVF blouses from the now-defunct store Hit or Miss and thinking that whenever I wore one of her blouses that I was styling and profiling. Then later I discovered her famous wrap dresses. Still don't have one but one day...

Diane may be a great designer, but Eva Longoria would look good even in a flour sack.

Sizziles? Wow! Huff Post sure has some low standards.

I see nothing amazing in these type dressings, as they have been around for decades. Perhaps a little different tuck and roll, but they are not actually original, nor are they sexy. I would bet they are pretty pricie though. Some people just have no idea what not to spend money on, as they usually have too much anyway. Some of them look to be hand me downs from a goodwill.

Redfox, your lack of amazement is precluded by what I will coin "a lack of taste barometer." My mother was a local fashion icon in our church, and community, Not so much for how much we had, but the attention to fine details, and her classic wardrobe, Her taste for classic, durable clothing has proven prudent especially for current economic trends. Meaning, investing in one good piece opposed to wash/tare fads is pivotal to remain in continuous style. The element of mystery is profoundly seen in Diane Von Furstenburg's, clothing line. The "A" typical reponse you gave is not to amaze onlookers, but help the artisitic "fashionista's" evolve with fashion, and it's ever changing contribution to a "womans" wardrobe.

Elle Nobles,

Some say Tomato, some say Tomaato. (extra a for the sound.) I have a very keen taste in many things. I like my Steak rare, I Drive Ford Vehicles, and I like pretty LADIES, who know what to wear. I also go to Church, and have taught Sunday School, Led Singing, and Preached Services. I have very specific attention to details. I was in Automotive Body and Paint for over 35 years, and was what most called a "Perfectionist" for detail. You may have your "choices" if you so claim, but I look at clothing for not only their looks, but last-ability, as well as cost. I presently shop at Wal-Mart, and get my Faded Glory Jeans for $9.97. I find them comfortable, good looking, and they fit well, without making me feel like I was a walking robot.

Classic, would depend on when you are speaking of. In 1962, classic was White polished Cotton Levies. Cost: $3.95. To waste money on clothes as many people do, wear them once, pay $400.00 + for them, and hang them in a closet, is no my taste, nor my idea of Classic or durability.

You have the freedom to have a choice. I have a freedom to have a choice. I also have a freedom to post my views of items posted on the internet. Yours may be different from mine. So, post your ideas.

Besides a few, that's some of the ugliest clothes I've ever seen.. Heidi Klum, sorry...but you just look stupid.

DVF may be a fashion icon, but it's time for her to let go - and the best way to do that is to go out on top - if it's not too late. Her clothes, for the most part, are dated and frumpy.

Eva who?

What's with Rooney Mara standing to look like she is bowl legged? The young women seem to be doing that now when they pose. It looks just horrible and stupid! I don't even know who Rooney Mara is but she sure got my attention with the bowl legs. Yuk.

LOL. Glad someone else noticed. Younger people today, were never TAUGHT how to stand, nor sit. They all look like classless goofballs these days.

I like some of her things but I'm not a big fan of all the colors or patterns. I'm more of the type that wears a dress like the red and black dress that Anne Hathaway wore in these pictures. Also, some of the dresses are nice but the women just aren't wearing them all that well. But Diane has been around a LONG time, she's certainly made her mark.
