Why Red Is The Color To Buy This Season (PHOTOS)

Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean you have to do away with festive hues. While everyone else may be donning go-to black coats, navy hats and grey sweaters at the moment, why not liven up your winter wardrobe with a pop of bold crimson? I've taken some cues from designers like Lanvin and Rodarte, who showed vibrant reds in their fall/winter collections. I particularly love a bright, rose-colored statement coat, whether worn over an evening look or more casual jeans. Also, a little red cocktail dress is a great alternative to the classic LBD. As for accessories, a punchy belt, flats or color-block bag are great ways to incorporate the look into any monochromatic ensemble. Whatever the case may be, red is definitely a staple shade to invest in now.

In related news, check out the red accessory Katie Holmes can't get enough of.

I like red when it has an orange hue to it, it goes so well with my skin.

I can't afford $490 for a blouse. That's ridiculous.

I used to wear red all the time (it was my favorite color) and then I got sick of it. I rarely wear it anymore. I actually like the red jeans.. but everything else is hideous. So.. I'll stick to wearing my favorite color and my go-to color this season. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

Oh my the "hooker" dress is back! No one will notice you wore that dress more than once.

If that. Also, not all of us can wear the color.

Who in their 'right mind' would wear 'red' jeans? Maybe someone on their mensus?
