Paul And Stella McCartney, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

HuffPost Social Reading

"A Look Back" is a daily column that highlights a moment from fashion's fabulous past. Today's pick is of Paul McCartney and his designer daughter Stella at the 14th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Dinner in New York on March 15, 1999. What do you think of Stella's profane shirt? Appropriate or offensive?

I'm lovin' this shirt!!! I think I want one. Totally agree with Tainteddr34ms. If your offended by what you see on her shirt, I can't imagine what cable TV must be doing to you. Unplug!

We don't have to accept hate to be tolerant.

Anyone who is seriously offended by her shirt would probably have a better time chasing kids away from their lawn than surfing the net.

Oh, 1999. I was thinking she bought it at the big sale in Japan.

Well, normally I wouldn't condone wearing a shirt like this, but dad seems to be happy & having a good time and daughter Stella (I think) looks content, just to be with her dad~
Appropriate.

Does anyone really think Ms. McCartney would be famous if not for her father?

The shirt may be obscene, but it is NOT profane. That word refers to something that speaks of God irreverently or disrespectfully.
