Every awards season, amidst a sea of safe bets, total misses and a few wildly oversized chignons, there's always a group of women that not only stand out but go on to dictate the beauty trends we'll be seeing for the rest of the year. With the People's and Critics' Choice Awards already under our belts, we caught a glimpse of what might be in store for hair & makeup on the Golden Globes red carpet. Now that the night is finally upon us, we present our picks for the ladies who flat out nailed it tonight... and the few who missed the mark.

Dont like Katharine McPhee or her haircut. Though, she has beautiful hair, it looked better long....I don't like her because I don't know how, other than being on American Idol, she ended up on the Globe awards.

But, to me, she came out of nowhere. She used to sing great! But, don't know what happened...she now sings through her nose, and that isn't a singer.....::::::))))) :)

Yes, unlike some celebrities, she and Brad are down to earth, movie stars. Not like the newly "celebrities" who look like they are doing the cameraman a favor by posing for them. Angelina and Brad, in my opinion, are the true movies stars...with nothing to prove. :)

Assume Kelly Osborne was in the "missed the mark" category. There were some hair styles I liked & wish I could pull off, but I think my favorite is Michelle Williams and her hairstyle as it appears on this list.

Some were nice, I am just alittle disappointed! My favorites didn't win, and the ones who (in my opinion) who won I have never heard of their movie...till that night....I am only going to look at "The People's Choice" maybe that one will be with most of the people :)

Jessica chastain and claire danes hair didn't look good to me. And don't even get me started on hoe bad I thought Zooey looked!! I gasped and yelled Ugh! at the tv when I saw her!
