Jason Wu For Target Skirt: How To Wear This One For Five Days, In Five Different Ways (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Normally I would have chosen a more simple piece for this feature; it's easier to style a neutral piece differently for five days straight. But when I got my hands on this skirt from the Jason Wu for Target capsule collection (thanks to a very patient colleague), I couldn't resist the challenge. When I saw it in pictures I imagined wearing it with a white button-bown, channelling my inner Anna Wintour.

Check out how I styled it five different ways in five different days -- my favorite was the look with the bobby socks and pumps, which will be perfect for spring. Don't forget to hit up your local Target on February 5th -- but be ready to fight the masses.

How sad are you people can you not look beyond the outfit to maybe look at the bigger picture? Not everyone can afford a different outfit for everyday of the week. There are many women and men who have left everything behind to get out of a battered relationship and have very little to work with, then you have your college student with very little money or a foster teen who once they have turned 18 is sent out to fend for themselves….this article is NOT about this outfit, but about different ideas to dress up what very little someone may or may not have. But go on with your bashing I am sure it makes you all feel much better about yourselves.

Day 5 was the best because it was completely covered up!

I agree. I liked the skirt. It was the ridiculous way she "layered" it and some of those shoes were just not right. I would have worn it with sandals and a white tank or tee, or a sleeveless tailored button-up, or a polo. Predictable, I
know

First of all that skirt is not bright blue. It is at best a pale blue. And why on earth would any woman want to wear the same skirt for a week, particularly a pale blue one which will show every little stain it picks up?

It was a challenge, not necessarily what she would have choisen otherwise.

I have to agree with everyone on here.... every get up was ugly. It's not that I minded the skirt so much as what they put it together with. I think a skirt like that really needs more classic pieces to go with it.. And what was with the foot wear?!?! How about a pretty, simple blouse, classic sweater and flats or heels? I could have taken this skirt and put together 5 outfits that most people would wear, and they wouldn't look wierd and as mismatched as these get ups are. I think being creative is a wonderful thing, but do it with taste.

Got THAT right! There oughta be a law...

Amen! Most of these "looks" look like you closed you eyes, dug into a box of clothes and used whatever you grabbed. Bobby sox and heels!?! If there had been a decent look for even one of those days, it would have been a dark jacket, white blouse, REGULAR PANTYHOSE and a nice pair of dark shoes....would that have been so hard? Some of us are over 13, you know.
