New York Fashion Week Fall 2012: Ramses Barden, Giants Wide Receiver, Would Work In Fashion

HuffPost Social Reading

Every season, there is one sports star who is surprisingly ubiquitous at New York Fashion Week. While we may only be in the early days of the week, it is not the first time we have spotted Ramses Barden. And, we're sure it won't be the last.

The wide receiver for the New York Giants, took some time off from celebrating his team's Super Bowl victory to hit up fashion week. "It’s the aftermath of the Super Bowl, so the energy in New York is great," he explained, "Fashion week is the hottest thing in the city and I'd never done it before."

And so, Barden has found himself sitting front row at Lincoln Center shows, such as Lacoste, and attending presentations at MILK studios, like John Bartlett. "To be honest, I don’t know too much about fashion, but I’m excited to learn and see some stuff live in living color and get a new perspective and maybe learn some things that I might want to add to my wardrobe."

Do we have the next Sean Avery on our hands? Maybe not, but that doesn't mean Barden wouldn't take an internship at Vogue at some point. "I am open to a lot of things, if I can learn something significant I would be more than willing to."

Maybe Anna should put in a call.
