New York Fashion Week Fall 2012: Bloggers Hit The Runway For Polyvore Live (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

When I arrived at the Polyvore Live fashion show during New York Fashion Week, I was surprised to find Stylelist Blogger Network members Anda and Masha not fitting models or searching for a missing heel -- but talking amongst themselves in the corner. "It's the quiet before the storm!" explained Anda as she surveyed the bustling backstage area. However, it was more like Anda and Masha were the eye of a giant hurricane -- hairstylists, camera crews, bloggers and designers ran around frantically as the two calmly managed their styling duties.

Anda and Masha partnered with Polyvore and CoverGirl Cosmetics to present the collections of Fashion Institute of Technology alumni Dana-Maxx Pomerantz, Lauren Bagliore, Sergio Guadarrama and Vengsarkar "Ven" Budhu. They have styled for Alice + Olivia and Nylon Magazine in the past, but were excited to take part in Polyvore Live mainly because 23 models were fashion bloggers from around the world. Masha explained: "It's really fun working with real people and all the different personalities." The surprising nature of the show brought in thousands of live stream views and an impressive front row including Giovanni Battaglia and Hannah Bronfman.

Take a look at each of the designs below and see if you can spot the Stylelist Blogger Network members who hit the runway:

I didn't get an invite to any of the fashion shows - someone forgot me! But, what I can say about the fashion I see out there now in all the department stores is AGHHHHHHHHHH...I live in Columbus, Ohio we have Macys, Nordstroms, Sachs, Von Maur and the rest of the mall stores, so I was so excited to be going to NY for the weekend because Macys usually has a much larger selection - wrong. I know there is something for everyone, however, I did not see one thing that I wanted to buy - that's bad for a compulsive/impulsive shopper. The clothes I am seeing are such a disappointment. I'm truly baffled ... what are the designers and buyers thinking?????????
Hope I won't be Ranting about this for an entire year...Rant, Rant, Rant...As always, with Hope
